Pilates mat exercises are exceptional for challenging core strength, stability and flexibility. Better still they can be performed anywhere and need no extra equipment thus making them an excellent choice for home workouts or adding on to other athletic or physical health programmes.
There are approximately 20 – 30 exercises in a traditional mat routine workout however this can easily be expanded into the hundreds given the huge selection of variations available to the practitioner. The mat exercises also make a great choice in terms of cross training for various sports.
